Overview
The Find a Doctor service provides an online directory of Presbyterian Health Plan active, contracted health care providers and facilities.
- The Find a Provider online service enables you to search for information on PHP-contracted health care providers.
- The Find a Facility online service enables you to search for information on PHP-contracted facilities.
The Find a Provider and Find a Facility services allow you to do many things, such as:
- Search for providers or facilities by name
- Search for providers or facilities who treat common medical conditions
- Locate providers or facilities near home, work, or other important locations
- Determine if a specific provider or facility participates in a specific health plan
- Print or download personalized directories of providers or facilities who meet your chosen search criteria
- View a map and driving directions to specific providers and facilities
- Learn more about specific providers and facilities
A provider’s or facility’s status can change. The provider or facility may not be in your specific health plan. Confirm that the provider or facility is still participating in your health plan when you call for an appointment.
Getting Started
Determine how you want to search for providers or facilities. You can find out if a specific provider or facility participates in a health plan.
Search for Providers
- Name, Medical Group, or Specialty: Enter the provider’s name, medical group name, or specialty in the search bar.
Filter search results by any of these options.
- My Location: Enter a ZIP Code or address or select Use Your Current Location to find providers near you. You can expand your search by choosing different distance options.
- Provider Availability: Select Accepting New Patients to find a provider who is accepting new patients.
- Specialty: Select a Primary Care Provider (PCP) or provider with a certain specialty.
- Insurance: Enter a PHP insurance plan name or select from the listed Presbyterian Health Plans.
- Provider Credentials: Enter a specific credential or select from the provider credentials listed.
- Gender: Filter your results for providers of a specific gender or select No preference for all providers.
- Medical Group: Enter a medical group’s name or select from a group from a list of common searches or view all contracted medical groups.
- Languages Spoken: Filter your results by the provider’s additional spoken language(s). All providers have reported they speak English.
Review the list of providers who meet your specified criteria. When you find one who meets your needs, you can select the provider’s name for more information about that provider. If no providers meet your criteria, try using fewer filters to widen your search.
Search for Facilities
- Facility Name: Enter the facility’s name in the search bar.
Filter search results by any of these options.
- My Location: Enter a ZIP Code or address or select Use Your Current Location to find facilities near you. You can expand your search by choosing different distance options.
- Facility Type: Select a facility type, such as inpatient hospital, behavioral health agency, or pharmacy, etc.
- Facility Service: Select a service provided by the facility.
- Insurance: Enter a PHP insurance plan name or select from the listed Presbyterian Health Plans.
Review the list of facilities who meet your specified criteria. When you find one that meets your needs, you can select the facility’s name for more information about that facility. If no facilities meet your criteria, try using fewer filters to widen your search.
Search Help
Finding a Provider
In the search bar, you can
- Enter the name of the provider, medical group, or specialty
- Enter the provider’s first and/or last name. If you are unsure how to spell the name, or do not know the provider’s full name, enter 1 or 2 letters of the first or last name.
Finding a Hospital, Pharmacy, or Other PHP-Contracted Facility
- To search for facilities, click on the link, Looking for a hospital, pharmacy, or other PHP-contracted facility? below the Find a Provider filters. A new window will open with the Find a Facility search form.
- Enter the name of the hospital, pharmacy, or other PHP-contracted facility in the search bar.
- If you are searching for a specific facility, enter the facility name or a portion of the name. Entering a portion of the facility name will return all facilities whose name contains the text you entered.
Search for Providers or Facilities by Location or ZIP Code
- In the My Location filter, you can narrow your search results by entering a city and state, ZIP Code, or address. You can also use the Use Your Current Location link to identify your current location.
- You can restrict or expand your search results by selecting the various Distance options.
Search for Providers by Specialty
- Select the Primary Care Provider (PCP) option in the Specialty filter if you are looking for a Primary Care Provider (PCP). This will display providers with specialties who can provide services to members as a PCP. A PCP is a health care provider who provides general health care services and guides patients toward other specialty health care services as needed.
- You can also enter a specific specialty in the search bar or by browsing the list of available specialties under Common Searches or by browsing through the list of all specialties.
General Search Tips
To find more information about a provider or facility, click on the provider or facility name to open the detail page that displays additional information.
It is possible that no providers with your search criteria were found in your search. Modify your search or make necessary corrections to get more results.
Spelling
- Incorrect spelling may result in no results.
- If you are unsure of the spelling, enter fewer letters of the provider name or facility name.
- If you search by city, make sure it is spelled correctly.
- If your provider is part of a medical group, search with the name of the medical group.
Adjust Filter Options
To increase your search results
- Select larger Distance filter options, such as 10 Miles, 15 Miles, or 20+ Miles.
- Remove certain filters, such as Gender or Languages Spoken.
Maps and Driving Directions
- Search Results Page. Once you have entered your location, you can click on the distance or mileage shown on the provider’s search result record to open a new page with a map and detailed driving directions.
- Provider Detail Page. Click on the map to open a new page with a map and detailed driving directions.
Navigating Your Results
- The search results will display several providers on a page.
- There may be multiple pages of search results. Navigate to additional pages by clicking on the page numbers at the bottom of the page.
- You may narrow your search results by using the additional search filters.
Personalized Directory Information
Search results can be printed or saved. Simply click the print or download options located to the right of your search results.
Print Search Results
Printing your search results will print the current page you are on. This will print a maximum of 10 providers.
Downloading Search Results
- Downloading your search results will first create a PDF document that includes all providers that meet your search criteria. Generating the PDF may take a few moments to be created.
- To view a PDF document on your computer, laptop, or mobile device, you will need a PDF reader installed on your device. Available software options are Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit PDF Reader.
